Stranger in Venice by Roxane Beaufort
|
I love nothing better than to sit down and get lost in a world where dark and sexy vampires haunt fresh faced virgins. In Strangers of Venice by Roxane Beaufort, you get this and a whole lot more. It is vampire erotica at its best!Set in Victorian England when young girls were chaperoned by their maids to keep their virtue intact, two best friends, Candice and Emma are beginning a sexual awakening as they secretly explore one another in bed. Much to their dismay, Candice’s strict chaperone discovers their antics and orders Candice to visit her after breakfast. ‘Candice felt Gwenda’s hard hand in the small of her back, pushing her forward till she lay face-down across the table, feet flat on the linoleum, her posterior raised. I was introduced to a world of pain and pleasure reading this book and I can tell you that it was very much a turn on. We follow the story of Candice, a young lady who is betrothed to her brothers friend Clive. Clive is very unlike the mysterious stranger she has been sexually dreaming about. Candice is totally besotted and lost in an astral world wondering if it is actually real. If feels real! In order to further her education, Candice, Emma, Clive and her brother Fabian, together with the young ladies chaperones, venture to Venice and Candice is sure that she will meet the dark figure that haunts her dreams. The group is introduced to a French libertine and his mistress who set about seducing the innocent maiden, introducing her to the paradox of pain/pleasure. I was enthralled reading about Candice’s experience and feelings of pain and pleasure and I have to admit that I found it such a turn on. More importantly though, I found myself in Candice’s shoes, wondering about who the man of her dreams was and when we should meet. This book will draw you in to a world of sexual pleasure and lust, but by the time you realise that this story is a take on Dracula, it is too late to turn back. The author Roxane Beaufort has captured your soul and you’re along for a ride that you will thoroughly enjoy. I became Candice and I’m sad that the journey has ended for me. I want more and I want Prince Dimitri! |
